The State of Arizona recently awarded nine ALTCS contracts to three health plans.  The chosen health plans will service members in the Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS) program. Bridgeway was one of the health plans awarded a contract. 

Beginning October 1, 2011, Bridgeway will serve ALTCS members in the following counties:

• Cochise
• Gila
• Graham
• Greenlee
• Maricopa (if you are a Bridgeway member, you will not change plans),
• Pinal  

Bridgeway will NO LONGER be serving ALTCS members in Yuma and LaPaz counties. 

If you are a Bridgeway Yuma and LaPaz Member, here are some important things to know:

• Bridgeway will be your health plan until September 30, 2011. We have enjoyed serving all of our members the past 5 years.
• On October 1, 2011, Evercare Select will be your new health plan. AHCCCS will be mailing a letter with more details very soon.
• Your needs are most important to us.  Bridgeway, AHCCCS and Evercare will work together to address the needs you have and to make sure this change is easy on you.

El 6 de abril del 2011 la Gobernadora Brewer firmó el Proyecto de Ley del Senado 1619 que restaura la cobertura de AHCCCS de trasplantes para adultos, los cuales habían sido eliminados el 1 de octubre del 2010.

A partir del 1 de abril del 2011, AHCCCS cubrirá y pagará por los trasplantes restaurados para miembros de 21 años de edad y mayores. Esto significa que la Administración de AHCCCS y sus planes de salud cubrirán los siguientes trasplantes el y a partir del 1 de abril del 2011:

• Trasplantes de páncreas después de un trasplante de riñón.
• Trasplantes de hígado para miembros con Hepatitis C.
• Trasplante de células hematopoyéticas sin relación alogénica.
• Trasplantes de corazón para miocardiopatías no isquémicas.
• Trasplantes de pulmón.
• Trasplantes de corazón y pulmón.
